
Gale won a modeling competition in Perth aged 18 years old. After several years of modeling Gale gained notoriety when she was commissioned in 1999 to appear in a series of adverts for an Italian Telecommunications company, Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy); she appeared in the company's advertising until 2006. She was also retained to the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 as 'their face of Australia to Italy'. Gale appeared on the covers of Australian Marie Claire and Grazia. The actress has also been featured in Italian Maxim and Australian InStyle. Gale was prominent in the editorials of Australian Cosmopolitan, Vogue Italia as well as Italian GQ. Gale is a runway performer for Milan Fashion Week for Mariella Marani and Angelo Marani as well as Gianfranco ferre, Genny & Gai Matiolo. Gale is also an avid devoted fan of many Australian designers including Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily johnston, Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. She was also the fashion analyst for Australia's television awards in the year 2006 (the Logies). In January of 2008, Gale announced her retirement of runway fashion after fifteen years. She took to the catwalk for the final time just weeks later at an David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. The model wore the Wonder Woman costume she had been planning to wear in The Justice League of America film in the process of developing. Gale closed Alex Perry 2011 Melbourne Fashion Festival in March 2011. Gale was celebrating her 10th anniversary with David Jones in August 2011 which was the longest-running fashion contract held by an Australian. The same month, Gale was appointed ambassador for L'Oreal Paris, joining Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani. Gale starred in a L'Oreal Shampoo commercial that was telecast across Australia, New Zealand, as well as Italy.
